TROY — Three youths ranging in age from 14 to 17 were arrested Monday night on charges of beating and robbing a food deliveryman.
The 45-year-old delivery driver, a Brunswick resident, was making a delivery for his unknown employer at 55 Middleburgh Ave. around 9:30 p.m. when he was allegedly thrown to the ground and punched and kicked by four individuals.
He told police they went through his pockets while he was on the ground and entered his Jeep Liberty before fleeing with $50 in cash and about $30 in food. Three of the four were caught by police minutes after, just north of where the incident occurred.
Kemo Santana Jr., 17, of 235 Pawling Ave., was charged with felonies of robbery and assault, as well as two misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
He was held pending an arraignment in Troy City Court Tuesday morning.
The other two youths arrested were aged 14 and 15. Their names and charges were not released due to their age. They were processed at the police station and released to their parents.
The fourth suspect was not caught by police.
