Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke announced Thursday that his enigmatic supergroup, previously billed only as ?????, now has a name and will go on a brief tour. The group, which includes Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich and Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, among others, is now called Atoms for Peace.
Yorke says on Radiohead's blog that Atoms for Peace will play a short tour this April, leading up to Coachella. Equally as exciting, the shows will be opened by the promising producer Flying Lotus. (The new Flying Lotus album, Cosmograma, which comes out in May, features Yorke on one track.) If you live in any of these cities, you're in luck:
Atoms For Peace w/ Flying Lotus:
April 5 & 6: New York, NY - Roseland Ballroom
April 8: Boston, MA - Citi Wang Theatre
April 10 & 11: Chicago, IL - Aragon Ballroom
April 14 & 15: Oakland, CA - Fox Theatre
April 17: Santa Barbara, CA - Santa Barbara Bowl
Here's a clip of Yorke and his previously unnamed band performing in Los Angeles.
