Pearl Jam will be hitting the road later this year, in addition to releasing a new documentary with an accompanying soundtrack and an "aesthetically stunning, definitive chronicle" book, everything will share the title 'Pearl Jam Twenty,' and look back at the band's last two decades together.

According to the band's official site, the documentary 'Pearl Jam Twenty,' directed byCameron Crowe, is culled from more than 1,200 hours of rare and previously unseen footage, as well as 24 hours of recent interviews and live performances. No theatrical date has been announced but The New York Times reports the documentary will make its debut on PBS stations on Oct. 21 as part of the station's 'American Masters' series.

Meanwhile a 'Pearl Jam Twenty' soundtrack -- to be released by Columbia Records/Sony Music -- will feature songs chosen specifically by Crowe to complement the film, serving as "a true companion piece to the film." No track list has been announced.

And as if that wasn't enough, a 'Pearl Jam Twenty' book will be released in North America through Simon & Schuster, and in other regions by Atlantic Books. The book was written by former Billboard.com editor and current 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' music booker Jonathan Cohen with Mark Wilkerson, author of 'Who Are You: The Life ofPete Townshend' and featuring a foreward by Cameron Crowe.

Finally, the band announced an extensive ten-date Canadian tour following a two-date Labour Day festival in East Troy, Wisconsin Sept. 3-4. The band have yet to confirm the lineup but Spin is reporting that the StrokesQueens of the Stone Age, Mudhoney andX's John Doe, among others, will be performing.

According to the band's site, current members of the band's fan club will have a chance to purchase tickets beginning May 23 at 10AM PST. The public onsale begins on June 4. A special pre-sale for fan club members for the Canadian dates begins May 24 at 10AM PST. Tickets for the Canadian dates will go on sale to the general public on May 27 at 10AM local time, with the exception being Montreal whose tickets go on sale the following day at 10AM.

Pearl Jam released their last album, 'Backspacer,' in 2009.
