The women's bathroom at last night's Rush concert ...

"It's not how fast you can go. The force goes into the flow."
I'm an outspoken supporter of the Canadian trio, and mean no offense to fans of the band. But I wanted to offer these photos as proof that there's no place on the planet lonelier than the women's bathroom at a Rush concert.
These photos were taken within a minute of each other, right before the encore of last night's show at the Sleep Train Pavilion in Concord. To be fair, the line for the men's room (left) -- which I visited twice -- was more orderly than it looks, and moved very quickly. Believe me, none of these guys wanted to miss a note of "La Villa Strangiato."
And yes, that's a dude standing outside the entrance to the women's room (right), which was about 30 feet away from the men's. It's possible the guy was waiting for his girlfriend, although I'm betting he was contemplating whether he could run inside and finish his business before a woman showed up. (I say go for it, buddy. If the roles were reversed, the women would have commandeered the men's bathrooms by the third song.)
Apologies for the horrible camera phone images. I plan to repeat this experiment, only in reverse, at the next Tori Amos show.
P.S. The Rush show rocked. The band sounded tight -- impressive because this was the third-to-last show on a marathon tour. The girls don't know what they're missing ...
