A Look At The Gear Of Reggie Watts
Gizmodo just profiled musician/comedian/voice-over artist Reggie Watts before his show at Webster Hall in New York. Watts' concerts are a mixture of spoken word comedy and music performances consisting of only his voice modulated, and most importantly, looped. The setup is remarkably simple:
His gig bag consists of the Shure SM57 microphone ($100), the Boss RV-5 reverb pedal ($100), the Line 6 DL4 Stompbox Delay Modeler ($215), and the Electro-Harmonix 2880 Super Multi-track Looper ($415).
Watts explains that he's attracted to the simplicity of the setup, and the only improvement he could think of would be a type of surround sound system in each venue so he could control where certain loops play in the room.
