MAYOR HARRY TO SHAVE HIS HEAD

TROY — Those wondering what the mayor would look without hair will have the opportunity to find out this afternoon.

Mayor Harry Tutunjian will shave his head today at 5 p.m. during a benefit concert at Revolution Hall after having received confirmation of a single $5,000 donation to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

“A to-this-point mysterious donor has come forward and offered the $5,000 bounty on the mayor’s head,” said city spokesman Jeff Buell.

Tutunjian first announced his pledge to shave his head earlier in the week in an effort to raise additional funding for the society as part of his campaign for the LLS Man of the Year.

Local and national acts performing at the concert, which begins at 2 p.m., include Graham Tichey & Johnny Rabb, Julia Ilowiecki, Imagining Lennon, Stuck on Stupid, Winchester and Young, Sumac, Three 4 Three, and Prolonged Exposure.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased from Revolution Hall at 274-0553 or at the venue’s box office.
